Tips on Sanitising Children's Toys

It is a well-known fact that smaller children are at a much higher risk of getting sick because of the close contact they have with numerous objects. Start by washing all of his toys first. To do this, soak all the items in a hot soapy solution for at least five minutes. You may use a regular dish soap for this particular step. Next, you need to scrub his play gear using a brush or a wash cloth to remove stuck grime. Make sure that you go through all the crevices and crannies where the germs hide.

Once you are done scrubbing, you have to rinse the toys thoroughly. Ensure that all the soap residue is gone because the latter can actually dilute the sanitation solution and make it ineffective. Remember to wash both the interior and exterior parts. As you allow the objects to dry, prepare the sanitation solution. For this procedure, you will need to pour about a quarter cup of household bleach in a pail and mix it with a gallon of plain water.

For the final step, you have two options in sanitising the toys. You can either dip each item into the mixture for a few minutes or soak all of them at once. Remember that you should not leave the objects in for too long as overexposure to bleach can discolour products.
